About

Lucinda Miranda Santos Wyss

Yoga teacher • Movement educator

Nearly twenty years of showing up on the mat, and of helping other people move with more strength, freedom and awareness. I teach in English and French, in Geneva.

Last October I began a three-hundred-hour Kundalini teacher training and found out that knowing something and being taken apart by it are not the same thing at all. I finished in July. Twenty years of practice turned out to be the ground floor; the training was the staircase.

What I teach, and why it looks different

Most yoga teaches you shapes. I am more interested in what is happening underneath them — how force travels through a body, where it gets stuck, and what the fascia is doing while you hold a pose you think is about your hamstrings.

That interest starts with the feet. Twenty-six bones each, and most of us stand on them all our lives without ever asking them to do anything. Wake the feet up and things change a long way north of the ankle. It is why the words on my logo are feet, fitness, finesse — and why the compliment I am most pleased by came from a woman who had taken one class with me and said what she noticed was what we did with the feet.

So a class with me is a yoga class, and also a lesson in how you are built. People tell me it is precise. I would settle for useful.

The students who stayed

Marc has been coming since 2008. Anou for about sixteen years. There is a group that has practised together long enough to know each other’s injuries. I mention it because it is the only evidence that matters in this work: anyone can give you a good hour, but very few people can give you a good hour a week for eighteen years while your body changes underneath you.

“I have seen how our bodies have grown with time — and how she adapts every one of her exercises to suit them.”
Anou · 16 years

I know what it is to rebuild from the inside, slowly and in the right order, with a great deal of unglamorous repetition. That is most of what I teach now, and it is why I am not frightened of whatever your body is currently doing.

Certified by Dr Fishman

In 2017 I travelled to Chicago for the teacher training of Dr Loren Fishman, the New York physiatrist who developed the Yoga vs Osteoporosis method, and I have been certified in it since. It is the reason I can work with osteopenia and osteoporosis rather than simply being careful around them — and, as far as I can find, no one else in Geneva teaches it. Five years later my own hips were replaced, and I found myself on the other side of it.

Starting again, with better hands

In October 2025 I began a three-hundred-hour Kundalini teacher training with Imagine Yoga Academy, expecting a polish on something already built. I found out that knowing something and being taken apart by it are not the same thing at all. I finished on the fifth of July 2026 — nine months, three hundred hours, and all the theory I had never been given: the chakra system laid out clearly, the layers of the psyche minutely studied. All those years on the mat, and I had only ever had the territory. Never the map.

Kundalini is now a Tuesday morning class at Shanti Club, deliberately early. Nearly everything that moved in me that year happened before eight in the morning.
